Mims Ellis

Mims is a member of the Southern California Ceramics Society and the Angeles Crest Art Guild.  She has sold and shown her work at the Descanso Gardens Art Gallery, American Museum of Ceramic Art and the McGroarty Art Center,  She is a regular exhibitor at the La Canada Community Center Winter and Spring Ceramics Show. She hand builds all of her one-of-a-kind pieces using the hard and soft slab method as opposed to throwing on the wheel.  This method allows for a more organic feel and greater artistic range of shapes and sizes and each piece has it's own unique personality.
